Atlantic Gymnastics Training Center is proud to offer a program for children with a variety of special needs. Our instructor, Jackie Hinkley, is a State of NH certified educator with over 20 years of experience. She will provide a specifically tailored lesson to meet the objectives of your child's IEP. This adaptive Physical Education Program has been allowed in some schools as a PE credit and is also dove-tailed with the objectives of the Occupational Therapist and or Physical Therapist. This one on one program usually an hour in length is offered in either four or eight week billing cycles. This wonderful activity for children with special needs included the important component of flexible scheduling. Our goal is to be part of the TEAM effort to maximize the benefit to each individual child including co-ordination, physical strength and balance as well as self esteem. The child, whose strength, stamina and balance are improved affects overall development in other areas. The gymnastics facility provides many opportunities for the child to utilize and expand their sensory functions including vision, hearing, touch, gravity, body position and movement. These activities can help a child become well rounded with improved academics and health. We at Atlantic Gymnastics are happy to schedule classes most convenient to you and your child.
